The mission of The Angels Theatre Company is to provide opportunities for Lincoln talent, to nurture original works, to promote and encourage professional artistic growth and to give company members access to a community of supportive individuals. The company consists of professional actors, writers, visual artists, musicians and dancers who collaborate to create.

 Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln-Lancaster County - $5,000

General operating support. Located at Park Middle School, Boys & Girls Club provides affordable before and after school and summer programs which promote the health, social, educational, vocational, character and leadership development of girls and boys served.

 Bright Lights, Inc. - $8,800

Toward online registration upgrades and technology for Bright Light’s summer learning programs.

CASA for Lancaster County - $10,000

General operating support. CASA recruits, trains and supervises volunteer advocates who are appointed by Juvenile Court judges to ensure that the needs and best interests of abused/neglected children are being met while they are under the jurisdiction of the court.

 Center for Legal Immigration Assistance - $20,000

General operating support. CLIA is the only nonprofit in Lincoln that is accredited by the BIA (Board of Immigration Appeals) and which provides a full array of quality, affordable legal immigration services.

General operating support.  Community CROPS (Combining Resources, Opportunities, and People for Sustainability) helps people work together to grow healthy food and live sustainably.

Community Development Resources - $10,000

Support for CDR which works to expand economic opportunity for small businesses, including low-income, minority, and women business owners, by providing access to capital, technical assistance, and training.

Support for part of the executive director and the administrative support staff salaries.

General operating support. Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters matches youth facing adversity with mentors to help them achieve higher aspirations, greater self-confidence, better relationships, educational success, and avoid risky behaviors.

Operating support for this organization that provides programming, exhibitions, lectures and other activities to enhance the understanding of the Holocaust and how it applies to today’s world.

 Meadowlark Music Festival - $5,000

General operating support. Meadowlark Music Festival is Nebraska's only summer chamber music festival.

 Mental Health Association of Nebraska - $14,300

Support for a marketing/social media program. MHA-NE is a consumer-run, voluntary, non-profit, statewide association with chapters located in communities throughout Nebraska. MHA-NE brings together service recipients, families, professionals, advocates, and concerned citizens to address all aspects of mental health and mental illness.

Metropolitan Opera/Nebraska Auditions - $1,000

Toward the 2012 Nebraska auditions of the Metropolitan Opera National Council.

Mid-America Arts Alliance, Kansas City, MO - $25,000

General operating support. Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) was created to support and stimulate cultural activity in communities throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas. Based in the heartland, M-AAA now creates and manages regional, multi-regional, national, and international programs including traveling exhibitions, performing arts touring, and professional and community development.
